ACB CEO Lutfullah Stanikzai has been officially terminated by the board due to several factors.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board has officially announced that they have terminated their CEO Lutfullah Stanikzai. In a letter sent to Stanikzai, he had been terminated due to mismanagement, unsatisfactory performance, and misbehaviour with managers.
The ACB also had a press release statement addressed to Stanikzai which says, ‘This is to inform you that this letter serves as confirmation that your employment contract in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afghanistan Cricket Board is terminated effectively. Your last employment date with ACB is July 29, 2020’.
As per the statement, the board has also decided to terminate Stanikzai due to ignorance in his responsibilities despite being warned verbally and in writing before. With that, the board has also said that they are planning to advertise the role vacancy soon.
Stanikzai used to work for the ACB as a media manager before being hired as the CEO with a three-year contract. He had replaced Asadullah Khan who had also been terminated due to some breaches of the ACB Constitution and on the policies on various decisions.
To date, ACB chairman Farhan Yousefzai has instructed Stanikzai to hand over all responsibilities on July 29. For the meantime, the position will temporarily be held by Inamullah Shirzad.
