Rahane has played 90 ODI matches for India, the last time he played was in February 2018
Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane confidently spoke about returning to the Indian ODI squad. He said that if he will score runs for Test cricket, he can make his comeback in the format. Rahane hasn’t played an ODI match since February 2018. Rahane played for India in 90 ODI matches where he gathered 2,962 runs at a rate of 35.26.
As he is determined to play in that format, Rahane said that it is all about being confident and believing himself.
‘I just need to play well in the Test matches, keep scoring runs and I am confident that I will be back in the ODI side. It is all about self-belief and being confident. Staying in the present will help me if I contribute to the side’s cause in Tests, I am sure I will be back in the ODI squad’, Rahane said.
Rahane revealed that the team is currently preparing for the Test in Indore. He said that the Men in Blue will not take Bangladesh lightly. ‘We are focussing on the Indore Test right now. I thought we played really well against South Africa, but as a side, we must stay in the present and we do not take any opponent lightly’, he said.
The first Test match between India and Bangladesh will be held at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The home team (-3333.33) has the best odds to win against the visitors (+1400). Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
