The women teams of England and the West Indies will take part in a series of five T20Is that are to be played from September 21 to 30. With that, both sides have already named their respective lineup for the main event in Derby. However, Anisa Mohammed of the West Indies opted out of the lineup due to personal reasons.

Meanwhile, players continue to feel the toll of COVID-19 as two of South Africa’s players tested positive for the virus. Although the names of those who had tested positive have not been revealed, CSA has promised to follow up on the players’ conditions. Aside from the two South African players, Chris Gayle of the West Indies has also been advised to self-isolate after he was seen partying with Usain Bolt who had tested positive for COVID-19.

Cricket also saw the retirement of two players this week. One of those is Australian player Cameron White who retired from playing professional cricket in order to pursue coaching. The other player who has chosen to refrain from playing is Sri Lanka’s Tharanga Paranavitana.
