‘And, when I am in middle for batting, I try to give my 200%’, he added.

His record puts him behind Saeed Anwar and Mohammad Yousuf in the ODI rankings.

Azam is on his way to becoming one of Pakistan’s best batsmen. The 24-year-old said that his focus isn’t winning records.

‘I am only focused on my game, I target match by match performance without aiming for any record’.

‘Records are never on my mind. I usually get to know about them after my innings’.

‘My job in the middle is to play till the end and let other batsmen accelerate around me, but I change my game according to the situation. I will continue playing my game the way I play’.
