The three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and Pakistan recently wrapped up and visiting captain, Mahmudullah Riyad is disappointed over his batsmen.
The T20I series concluded as Pakistan whitewashed Bangladesh after winning two of the three matches.
Bangladesh barely scored, having a total of 141-5 and 136-6 in the first two matches. On the other hand, Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal was able to score 39 and 65 in the two innings.
As a result, the captain of the Bangladesh cricket team, Mahmudullah Riyad expressed his disappointment over his batsmen.
In an interview, Mahmudullah said, ‘I think we did not achieve much. If I talk about achievement, I would only talk about Tamim. He batted realizing the nature of the wicket and with his experience, he came out good’.
Mahmudullah praised the opposing team’s pace attack which also proved his team’s difficult batting situation.
Mahmudullah said, ‘Pakistan has a huge factory of producing fast bowlers. They have a bunch of good fast bowlers. Haris Rauf has been very good with his new ball and old ball skills. Shaheen Afridi is doing very well. I think they always have a very good pace bowling attack’.
Despite the result of the T20I series, Mahmudullah said that he is looking forward on the upcoming Test series against Pakistan which is set to begin on February 7.
