On a meeting yesterday, the BCB and PCB agreed to have 2 Tests, 3 T20Is and an ODI for Bangladesh Tour of Pakistan 2020.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board reached a middle ground and agreed to have 2 Tests, 3 T20Is and an ODI for the upcoming Bangladesh tour of Pakistan.
During the meeting, the ICC Chairman, Shashank Manohar served as the facilitator.
The tour will be divided into three parts, with the three T20Is set to happen from January 24 to 27. They will return to Pakistan for the first Test match on February 7. Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricketers will participate in the Pakistan Super League.
When the PSL ends on March 22, the second Test will start on April 5. Both Tests are included to the World Test Championship. The ODI between the two teams will happen on April 3.
Initially, Nazmul Hasan, the President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced that they will only play three T20Is against Pakistan. This was caused by the government’s reluctance in security clearance due to the current unrest in the Middle East.
Finally, after a prolonged discussion about the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan, both sides have agreed on a decision that compromises for the two teams.
