The governing council of the Indian Premier League will soon share the detailed plans for the 2020 season with their primary stakeholders.
The IPL 2020 is set to start on September 19 in UAE. With that, an upcoming meeting with the primary stakeholders is set to commence on Saturday. This meeting will include the franchise owners, the broadcasters, as well as the IPL’s central sponsors.
In that meeting, different factors such as the bio-secure bubble, revenue pools, gate money, travel and accommodation, medical assistance, and player replacement and loaning will be discussed. Like other cricket events, IPL 2020 will also be held in a bio-secure environment to ensure the safety of all the players and staff.
As the IPL welcomes international players to play, more factors need to be considered since the welfare of the players also need to be ensured with the different cricket boards. This is the reason why medical assistance and travel accommodations are important in the upcoming meeting.
To date, the board and the governing council are busy preparing all the policy drafts which are to be discussed on the Saturday meeting.
