Anderson re-signs with Somerset for the 2020 season of T20 Blast.
Corey Anderson, a New Zealand all-rounder who plays for Lahore Qalanders in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and Northern Districts returns to Somerset for the upcoming T20 Blast.
‘The atmosphere in the dressing room is one of the best I've experienced. The supporters are very knowledgeable and get right behind the team. It's a great place to play and hopefully, I can help the club go one better than we did in 2018 and make the final’, Anderson stated.
Anderson who had previously played with Somerset in 2017 and 2018 was able to execute an outstanding performance and impressed the team. Andy Hurry, Somerset’s director of cricket also stated that Anderson made a huge impression on and off the field. ‘His contributions in 2018 were absolutely outstanding and he was one of the main reasons that we reached Finals Day that year. I can’t speak highly enough of him as a competitor and as a man. As a Club we are delighted that he will be joining us again in 2020’, he said.
