Faf du Plessis Under Fire For His Accusations Towards India

Some fans said that the Proteas skipper is just making lame excuses following their defeat in the Test series

South African Cricket Team skipper Faf du Plessis was slammed by the fans of Men in Blue due to his statement about Team India. He accused that India declares their final score when it’s already dark. His side faced a 3-0 defeat to India in the recently concluded Test series.

‘Every Test match, they bat first, they score 500, they declare when it's dark, they get three wickets when it's dark and when day three starts, you're under pressure’, he said.

‘It was like copy and paste in every Test match. If the toss is done away with in overseas Tests then away teams will have a better chance. In South Africa I don’t mind that. We bat on green tops anyway’, he added.

The statements made by du Plessis was totally unacceptable for Indian fans. A lot of them roasted the South African skipper for his comments. Some fans said that du Plessis continues to make ‘lame excuses’ after being thrashed by the Indian Cricket Team.

Faf du Plessis plays for Chennai Super Kings, a franchise under the Indian Premier League. To know more about the IPL, read the page on Betwala.
