An unnamed fan filed a petition to ban Pakistan from World Cup
A fan filed a petition to the Gujranwala Civil Court to ban the Pakistan cricket team from playing in ICC Cricket World Cup after their third lost in the tournament, one washed out game, and one win over England.
The unnamed civilian appealed for the civil court in Pakistan and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq to impose the ban. The civil court asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a reaction to the petition.
Meanwhile, PCB released a statement that they will make major changes to their team after their meeting on Wednesday at Lahore, Pakistan.
According to a report from London, Coach Mickey Arthur’s contract will not be renewed after the World Cup. Additionally, team manager Tala Ali and bowling coach Azhar Mahmood are expected to be removed from the team.
Pakistan will have their next match against South Africa on Sunday at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The Shaheens currently have +5550 odds to win the World Cup.
