It has been speculated that Virat Kohli will not play for the T20I series against Bangladesh
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president-elect Sourav Ganguly spoke yesterday about Men in Blue skipper Virat Kohli. The home team is on their way to win the Test series against South Africa. In the third day of the final Test match, India declared 497 for 9 after bowling out the Proteas for 162.
There had been speculations about Virat Kohli that he will take a rest for the T20I series of the upcoming Bangladesh tour. Kohli will return to play on the Test series that will be held in Indore and Kolkata. Sourav Ganguly said that Kohli will take the call if he will play or not.
‘I will meet him on October 24th. I will talk to him like a BCCI president talks to the captain. He is the captain and he can take a call’, Ganguly said.
Ganguly also praised Rohit Sharma and Umesh Yadav for their show against the Proteas. ‘I am very happy for Rohit. I don't need to say that he is a top batsman. We all know what he can do’, he said. ‘He has been brilliant. He has varied the length really well as on Indian wickets you don't get a lot of bounce’.
The Indian Cricket Team is set to play the fourth day of the Test series today. India (+1) has the best odds to win against South Africa (+2400). Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
