Gayle moved his international retirement plans after India series
West Indies all-rounder Chris Gayle said he will retire from international cricket after their one-day international (ODI) and Test series against India after 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
“It’s still not the end. I still have a few games to go. Maybe another series to go, as well. Who knows, we will see what happens,” said Gayle. “My plans after the World Cup? I may play a Test match against India and then I will definitely play the ODIs against India. I won’t play the T20s. That’s my plan after the World Cup.”
West Indies’ media manager Philip Spooner also confirmed that Gayle will play against India before retiring in an interview with PTI.
West Indies will have their next match against India today at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Windies currently have +270 odds to win the game while Men in Blue have -333 odds.
