Hanuma Vihari Thanks Team for Their Support

The newcomer played in the recent West Indies tour of the team

Vihari is one of India’s newest players in their recent tour of West Indies. He was given a chance to play for the team in the tour’s Test series over Rohit Sharma. This decision was criticized by fans but the young batsman proved his worth in the Tests against West Indies. Vihari was named Player of the Match in the first Test, scoring the first Test century of his career.

Vihari thanks his team for their support during the tour, especially the team’s coach and captain. ‘After we won the series, he (Kohli) came straight to me and said ‘‘hold it’’ and hugged me. He was kind enough to give me the trophy and I was very happy to hold the winning trophy’, Vihari stated. ‘I want to thank each and every member of the team for the contribution in this win. This is an amazing team. When you win a series, especially overseas, it feels great. I am happy we started the Test Championship on a massive note’.

With his impressive Test performance in the tour, Vihari is expected to play in India’s upcoming event. South Africa’s tour of India will start on September 15. The teams will play three T20Is and three Tests this year. South Africa will visit India again next year to play three ODI matches. Vihari also plays for Delhi Capitals, a domestic team that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Find out more about IPL at Betwala.
