The Pakistani pacer was ruled out of upcoming Sri Lanka series at home which surprised fans when he appeared on a catwalk.
Pakistani bowler Hasan Ali has a habit of making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. If one would recall, he is ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. However, some fans were confused when Ali appeared during the Pakistan Fashion Week 2020 - and even walked on the ramp. A video released later created more controversy.
His last international match was against India during the ICC World Cup which was also held earlier this year. His most recent cricket match was during the Quad-e-Azam Trophy tournament in Lahore last September. After feeling some pain in his left rib, he was pulled out of the tournament. He was set to play in the ninth round for Central Punjab.
A precautionary scan in Karachi revealed that Ali had cortical rib fractures on the ninth rib on his right side and the eighth and ninth ribs on his left side. ‘The fractures will require up to six weeks to heal and he will start a rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy from Monday’, said the PCB in an interview.
Ali also missed three T20I matches and two Test matches against Australia. He played in 53 ODIs, 30 T20Is, and nine Tests where he claimed 148 wickets.
Pakistan’s next matches are against Sri Lanka in two Test matches beginning on December 11. This will be followed by three ODI matches against the Netherlands. To find out more about Pakistan’s upcoming matches, visit Betwala’s page.
