Hathurusingha said he will finish Sri Lanka contract in 16 months
Sri Lanka coach Chandika Hathurusingha insists he will finish his contract despite being asked to step down after the Lions failed their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign.
“I have another 16 months. I hope to remain until my contract runs out,” said Hathurusingha.
Hathurusingha continued that everyone needed to accept responsibility for their World Cup campaign failure.
“All of us must accept responsibility for what happened. I think we expected better performance. We have to think. We must learn from this and move forward. I think I have done to the best of my ability.”
