Hussey says Dhoni has great offense in matches due to his skills
Former Australian batsman Michael Hussey said that Indian batsman MS Dhoni does not have too many weaknesses because Dhoni uses all his strength to his advantage in the field.
“He is a great competitor and keeps his composure better than anyone especially under pressure. He is a very smart player, who is calculating. He knows his strengths and always sticks to them,” stated Hussey ahead of Australia and India match yesterday where India won by 36 runs.
“He will know which bowlers are threats and which ones are targets in every team. The bowlers you mentioned can only bowl from one end,” he continued. Hussey added that Dhoni’s mere presence and scores he made in previous matches will keep their opposition on edge.
Hussey also mentioned that Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah are game-changers in their team.
“Bumrah will bowl all those difficult overs. We would see him bowl whenever India are desperate for a wicket, so there will be pressure on him but I think he handles the pressure as well as anyone in world cricket,” he stated.
“Hardik could be used as a floater in the batting order...or be used as that power hitter at the back end of an innings. I would not like to be bowling if Hardik and MSD are batting at the end of an innings.”
Australia’s fourth match will be against Pakistan on Wednesday at County Ground, Taunton. Australia currently stand at odds of +335 of winning the ICC Cricket World Cup.
