ICC Announces Schedule for Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019

The tournament will see familiar faces go at it beginning August 31.

From August 31 to September 7, the first few matches of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 will begin. Defending champions Bangladesh will play against Papua New Guinea, while runner-up Ireland will take on Namibia. Scotland will also face the USA while Thailand will battle it out with the Netherlands. Two spots are up for grabs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup which will be held in Australia in 2020.

Namibia replaced Zimbabwe since they finished second in the Africa regional qualifiers earlier this year, while the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, and the USA won their respective qualifying events. Scotland automatically qualifies since they are the hosts.
