ICC is accused of being biased towards Indian skipper Virat Kohli
The International Cricket Council (ICC) published an illustration of Team India captain Virat Kohli wearing a crown and sitting on a throne before the captain’s first ICC Cricket World Cup match on Wednesday. Kohli was depicted with a bat in his right hand and a ball on the other while wearing a cape.
ICC was accused of being biased towards the right-handed batsman because of this illustration. Due to this, some fans expressed disappointment while others liked the illustration.
Meanwhile, former English cricketer Michael Vaughan retweeted ICC’s illustration and said, “Nothing like impartiality!”
Team India won their first match against South Africa by 6 wickets at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground. They will start their second match on Sunday against Australia at The Oval.
