A Netflix documentary entitled Beyond the Boundary will show the retrospect of the event which highlighted the skills of amazing women cricket players.
The International Cricket Council has collaborated with Netflix to give cricket fans a glimpse of the highlights of the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup. The finals of the said event had been attended by 86,174 spectators at the Melbourne Cricket Ground where the Australian team has also been declared as the champions.
With the launch of the documentary entitled ‘Beyond the Boundary’, fans will be able to relive the surge of action and emotion from this wondrous cricket event which had been held last International Women’s Day on March 8.
The said documentary will feature the highlights of the Women’s T20 World Cup which showed intense action among ten teams. The narrative of the documentary also shows the milestone of the Thailand team when they achieved their first qualification for a major cricket event.
As per ICC chief executive Manu Sawhney, ‘We are immensely proud of Beyond the Boundary and we are delighted to partner with Netflix as part of our long-term commitment to growing the visibility of the women’s game and ensuring it has a global platform’.
‘The film captures all the action and drama from the tournament, which set new benchmarks for not just women's cricket but all women's sport and gives fans around the world the chance to relive one of the greatest ICC events we have ever staged’, he added.
