India's Rahul Confident in Team Against England

Rahul is confident in the skills of his team to beat England in match

India wicket-keeper and batsman KL Rahul is confident in his team’s ability to beat England in their upcoming match tomorrow at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

“If we play the best cricket, and if we play the kind of cricket that we’ve been playing in the last four or five games, we’ll end up most probably on the winning side,” said Rahul.

“Individually and as a team, we’re focused on getting our plans right, executing our skills right and again, it’s a big game against England,” continued Rahul. “So hopefully the confidence and the momentum that we have, we can carry that to Birmingham and it will be great to get more wins.”

Rahul added that his team’s ability to adapt to different conditions in matches was the reason for their successes in the league stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

“We have that kind of confidence in the batting unit. So we don’t mind taking that little extra time,” stated Rahul. “If we go to the next game, there might be a bit of movement, might be overcast. So we need to be flexible in our minds.”

Rahul also stated that his team is inspired by captain Virat Kohli’s batting successes in all of his matches. Kohli recently became the fastest batsman to achieve 20,000 international runs and 11,000 one-day international (ODI) runs.

“I mean, he just kept batting well, whenever you see the IPL or Test cricket or T20 cricket or One-Day Internationals,” said Rahul. “And that’s what is great to see and inspiring for us and the team to learn from him and probably understand and have the same kind of passion and go out every game wanting to do well for the country.”

India currently have -120 odds to win the match while England have +102 odds.. If you want to know the next 24 hour odds of other teams, you can check out the cricket betting odds page of Betwala.
