Both the BCCI and the CSA decided that the ODI series between the Men in Blue and the Proteas be rescheduled rather than being held behind closed doors.
The two remaining ODIs that will be played between the Indian and the South African team will be rescheduled to a later date for everyone’s safety. The first ODI between the two teams was washed out without having a bowled ball in Dharamshala due to the bad weather.
Following that incident, the organizing committees had decided that the following ODIs be held behind closed doors. This is due to the fact that the first ODI between the two had been flocked by the fans despite the government’s warnings concerning the coronavirus outbreak. Less than 24 hours after the said announcement, the BCCI stated that in accordance with the CSA, they had decided that the remaining ODIs be rescheduled instead.
As per the BCCI’s statement, they will stay coordinated with the CSA to work out the revised schedule of the three ODIs of the series. The rescheduled series between the Men in Blue and the Proteas is the second one to have been postponed by the BCCI after the IPL.
