IPL 2020 Set to Begin in Late March

The most awaited season of the Indian Premier League is set to have its kick-off coming in three months from now.

The Indian Premier League hype has already been building up despite the fact that the season will be kicking off by late March 2020. The pressure is already piling up for teams, players and coaches ahead of the season.

338 cricket players from all over the world have taken part in the vital auction that took place in Kolkata last December 19th. Popular players such as Pat Cummins, Eoin Morgan, Glenn Maxwell, Tom Banton, and more went through the auction for the 73 available slots.

Within those 73 slots, only 29 slots will be filled by overseas cricketers. IPL teams would surely make their best picks and come up with a great selection to fill their squad needs with the best overseas talents from around the world.

The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League will introduce the concept of a special umpire that will take over the judging for the front-foot-no-ball. Next season will also allow the franchises to loan capped players from either local or overseas at the midway stage.
