IPL 2022 Match 20: RR vs LSG preview

Match 20 of the Indian Premier League 2022 will be played between the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The Royals are placed fifth in the points table with four points. Led by Sanju Samson, they have won two of their three games and have a net run rate of +1.218. The better of their two wins came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, whom they beat by a big margin of 61 runs. Batting first, the Royals put up a big total of 210 runs on the board with almost all the batsmen contributing. Sanju Samson top scored with 55 while Devdutt Padikkal scored the second best knock of 41. Later, Yuzvendra Chahal picked up three wickets to help his side win by 61 runs.

Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, are fourth in the points table. They have won three of their four games, and come into this game on the back of a six-wicket win over the Delhi Capitals. Quinton de Kock’s flamboyant knock of 80 runs helped the Super Giants hunt down 150 with two balls remaining.

Lucknow have a very balanced team with firepower in both their batting and bowling department and are the favourites to win this game. Rajasthan, on the other hand, do not have a batting lineup that is consistent in its performances. They might replace Riyan Parag with Jimmy Neesham in the playing XI.

Predicted XI

Lucknow Super Giants - KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Krishnappa Gowtham, Andrew Tye, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan
