IPL 2022 Match 28: PBKS vs SRH preview

Punjab Kings will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai in Match 28 of IPL 2022. The Mayank Agarwal-led side have had mixed fortunes in this season so far and are coming into this game on the back of a close win against the Mumbai Indians. They are currently placed third in the points table and will be looking to keep their position on the better half of the points table intact. Jonny Bairstow is yet to be at his destructive best and the team will be looking for contribution from him.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, have made remarkable improvement to climb up four places on the points table. They have won their last three matches on a trot, and are coming off a big win against the Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous game. They struggled in their first couple of games but both their batting as well as bowling has been great in the last three games. Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram have been delivering the goods with the bat while T Natarajan has been doing his job of picking up wickets. Despite the absence of star all-rounder Washington Sundar, the team has been able to manage victories by big margins.

The pitch at the DY Patil has been largely batting friendly this IPL. Both Punjab and Hyderabad have power hitters in their ranks which could make this game exciting.
