Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders will face off against each other in the 30th match of IPL 2022 to be played at the Brabourne Stadium. The Royals have won 3 out of 5 matches and are currently placed 5th in the points table. But they come into this game after losing to Gujarat Titans by 37 runs. Their bowlers conceded 192 runs in the first innings which their batsmen were unable to chase down. Apart from opener Jos Buttler who scored a half-century, none of the other batsmen could get going.
KKR, on the other hand, started the tournament in style but soon became inconsistent. They have played six games so far, winning three and losing as many. They lost their most recent game to Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets after scoring 175 runs for eight in 20 overs.
KKR’s batting has not been up to the mark and Pat Cummins, who has played three games so far since returning from Australia, has leaked plenty of runs. KKR could consider bringing back Tim Southee in the playing XI in place of Cummins, if they do not mind losing out on Cummins the batsman.
