Kolkata Knight Riders will play Gujarat Titans in match 35 of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium. KKR are looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last three games on a trot. They come into this game on the back of a seven-run loss to the Rajasthan Royals. Chasing 217 to win, KKR kept up with the required run rate for most part of their chase before a hat-trick by Yuzvendra Chahal changed the course of the game and bundled out the Shreyas Iyer-led side for 210 in 19.4 overs.
KKR’s bowlers, who were impressive in the initial few games, have not been too effective in the last couple of games. Pat Cummins, especially, has been hit for lots of runs.
Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, have won five of their six games. They have done well in both the batting and bowling department and will now be eyeing a sixth win this season.
We could see quite a few personal milestones being reached in this game. David Miller needs one more six to reach 100 sixes in the IPL, Rashid Khan needs one more wicket to reach 100 wickets in the tournament, Hardik Pandya is one catch away to 100 T20 catches, Sunil Narine is one wicket shy of 150 wickets in the IPL and Shreyas Iyer needs six more maximums to reach 100 sixes in the IPL.
