Match 40 of IPL 2022 will be played between the Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The two teams are separated by just two points in the table.
With six wins in seven games, Gujarat Titans are second in the points table. They come into this game after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by eight runs on April 23. Batting first, the Titans put up 156 runs on the board on the back of Hardik Pandya’s half-century. The Gujarat captain is in the form of his life, having scored 295 runs in six games at an average of 73.75 this season. Later in the game, Mohammad Shami, Yash Dayal and Rashid Khan picked up two wickets each to help the Titans defend the target.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, have won five of their seven games and are placed third in the points table. They come into this game on the back of a huge win over Royal Challengers Bangalore, which was a massive boost to their net run rate. Marco Jansen and T Natarajan picked up three wickets each to dismantle RCB for just 68 runs, a target they chased down in only 8 overs.
Both GT and SRH are in fine form and promise viewers an exciting face off.
