IPL 2022 Match 41: DC vs KKR preview

A struggling Kolkata Knight Riders will take on another struggling team, the Delhi Capitals, in match 41 of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Both the teams have six points under their belts and will have to win all their remaining league games to stand the best chances to make it to the playoffs. Both Delhi and Kolkata come into this game after losing their respective last games.

Delhi lost their previous match to Rajasthan Royals after giving a good fight in chase of more than 200 runs. Half of the tournament is over, but it seems like the Capitals have still not found a strong playing combination.

Kolkata have lost their last four matches on a trot and will need self-belief to be able to bounce back in the tournament. They were at the top of the points table only two weeks ago but are now the seventh ranked team. Their bowlers have been leaking a lot of runs in the last few games while their batting line-up keeps changing frequently. Despite Aaron Finch playing a good knock against the Rajasthan Royals, he was benched in the next game against the Gujarat Titans for Sam Billings.

Overall, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals have played 31 games, with Kolkata leading 16-14.

Predicted XI

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Rovman Powell, Sarfaraz Khan, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed

Kolkata Knight Riders: Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sam Billings (wk), Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav, Varun
