Table toppers Gujarat Titans will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in match 43 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium. Gujarat have been the best team in the tournament so far, losing just one of their eight games. They have more or less already qualified for the playoffs.
Captain Hardik Pandya has been his side’s best performer so far. The all-rounder has already scored 305 runs in seven games and has looked unstoppable. Rahul Tewatia, meanwhile, has been doing his job of finished games to perfection.
RCB, on the other hand, are in race with three other teams to qualify for the playoffs. They are fifth in the points table with five wins in nine games. The reason behind RCB’s inconsistency this season has been the disappointing performances of some of their big names like Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis. The initial few games that RCB won were due to a late show by their finishers Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed. Their top order has consistently failed to perform.
The bowling line-ups of both Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore is strong. Although Gujarat have been winning matches, their batting has been inconsistent and similar has been the case for Bangalore.
