Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians will take on each other in match 44 of IPL 2022. The game will be played at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
Currently placed second in the points table, the Royals come into this game after winning their last three games on a trot. It can be noted that the Royals will be celebrating the life of their IPL title winning captain Shane Warne during this game and a win would be a befitting tribute to the legend who passed away last month.
Mumbai, meanwhile, have lost all of their eight games. Although they are already out of the contention for playoffs, the five time champions will be looking to at least get off the mark. Their captain Rohit Sharma is celebrating his birthday today, and a win would be a great gift for the most successful captain of the tournament.
Rohit and Ishan Kishan both have been out of form while Tilak Verma and Dewald Brevis have not been consistent. Mumbai's only dependable batsman is Suryakumar Yadav, their top run scorer so far this season.
The captain winning the toss will have a better chance to win the match given that dew has been playing a big role across venues in Mumbai.
