Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants will contest the 45th game of IPL 2022. The Capitals will be seeking revenge after losing the earlier game that the two sides played last month.
When the two teams met on April 7, the Capitals put up 149 runs in 20 overs with help from a half-century from Prithvi Shaw and cameos by Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant. Their bowlers put up a good fight to try and defend the target, but the Capitals eventually lost the game in the last over. For the Super Giants, Quinton de Kock was the best performer with a knock of 80 runs.
Currently, Delhi are sixth in the points table with 4 wins and as many losses while Lucknow have more or less confirmed their spot in the top four with 6 wins and 3 losses in 9 matches.
The match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium, which has historically always been a great batting pitch. But the pacers from both teams will also enjoy their time bowling on this ground. The likes of Shardul Thakur, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan will be the bowlers to watch out for.
