Chennai Super Kings will take on the Delhi Capitals in match 55 of Indian Premier League 2022. CSK, the second most successful team in IPL history, is already out of the race to the playoffs. For Delhi, this game is a must win in order to confirm their spot in the playoffs. They will be without Prithvi Shaw for this game, who has been admitted to the hospital with fever. Earlier today, a net bowler from the Delhi camp tested positive and there were also reports that the clash between DC and CSK could be called off.
DC come into this game on the back of a 21-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK, on the other hand, endured a defeat at the hands on Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Rishabh Pant will be eyeing a personal milestone in this game. He is only 30 runs short of getting to 4000 runs in the T20 format. He has been inconsistent this season but his record against CSK is impressive - an average of more than 50 and a strike rate of 154.
David Warner is the top run scorer for the Capitals with 356 runs at a strike rate of more than 150.
For CSK, Devon Conway has done well in the last couple of games but a little more consistency will be expected from the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa.
Currently, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants are confirmed as the two teams that will play the playoffs. The four teams still in the race are Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
