IPL 2022 Match 64: PBKS vs DC preview

Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will take on each other in match 64 of IPL 2022. Currently, both the teams are in contention for the playoffs but a loss in this game will confirm their elimination.

Currently both Delhi and Punjab have 12 points each. As of match 63, the first three spots in the table are almost confirmed. Gujarat Titans are right at the top, followed by Rajasthan Royals and then the Lucknow Super Giants. The fourth spot is still up for grabs and the Royal Challengers Bangalore are the closest to that spot. RCB have 14 points, but if they lose their next game and one among Delhi or Punjab win their next two games, the Faf du Plessis-led side will move down to the fifth spot.

When Delhi and Punjab met earlier this season, the Rishabh Pant-led side registered a comprehensive win. A top notch bowling effort saw them restrict Punjab to only 115 in the first innings, which they chased down in 10.3 overs. David Warner was the star of the second innings, having scored an unbeaten 60 off just 30 balls at a strike rate of 200.

Overall, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals have played 29 games between them. Punjab have won 15 of those with Delhi bagging 14 wins. In the last five matches between the two sides, Delhi have won four.
