Tamim Iqbal returned to the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming T20I match series against Pakistan, as announced by BCB last Saturday.
Along with Tamim Iqbal, Rubel Hossain will also make a comeback for the first of the three-leg Bangladesh tour of Pakistan.
Since last year’s World Cup, Iqbal hasn’t played cricket. He was forced to take a break from matches due to his poor run of scores in the tournament. Supposedly, he was to return for the tour of India in October last year but pulled out because of personal reasons.
Iqbal last played a T20I match in December 2018. He has finally recovered from his groin injury and received a medical clearance to feature in the series against Pakistan.
Hossain had a longer break from the T20I format. His last T20I match was back in August 2018 against West Indies in Florida.
Hasan Mahmud joins Iqbal and Hossain for a comeback in the Bangladesh squad. Overall, he has played 13 T20 games and has 10 wickets at an average of 37.9. On the other hand, he has been quite successful in first-class cricket, having 24 wickets from 9 games and List A cricket, having 19 wickets from 15 matches.
The first T20I match between Bangladesh and Pakistan will happen on January 24. If you are looking for reliable odds on their upcoming match, visit the Betwala page.
