The two players displayed powerful bowling performance in the final day of the first Test
Fast bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami wrapped up good figures for the Indian Cricket Team. The Men in Blue celebrated their victory in Vishakhapatnam. They defeated the South African Cricket Team by 203 runs and posted a score of 502 for 7.
Ravindra Jadeja made a stunning catch during the first ball of the 27th over. He effortlessly caught Proteas opener Aiden Markram. Jadeja also dismissed Vernon Philander and Keshav Maharaj. The two players only scored ducks as they got dismissed. South Africa was out for 191, chasing the 395-run target.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami took 5-35 in the match. He dismissed Dane Piedt and Kagiso Rabada. He picked up his five-wicket haul on the fifth day of the first Test.
Rohit Sharma lauded praise and recognized Shami’s bowling talent that he displayed in the match. ‘He knows how to bowl on such pitches, gets reverse swing straight into play once he knows there is some help on offer. He has mastered that art now, bowling with the old ball and getting it to reverse. These type of conditions are pretty ideal for him. He makes them play all the balls and it is tough for the batsmen where the ball misbehaving doing something from the crack at time staying low’, he said.
