‘I have had enough of your verbal diarrhea.’
Indian-all rounder Ravindra Jadeja remains to be New Zealand’s one and only problem, be it in warm-up games or in an official match, he manages to make the Kiwi’s scary bowling attack look like batting practice.
As India’s top order ran into problem-after-problem, the responsibility of lifting the team up fell to MS Dhoni and his ‘bits and pieces’ partner Ravindra Jadeja. Coming after the former captain wasn’t an issue for Jadeja as he scored a rather quick half-century on a pitch that gave his teammates problems.
As he celebrated reaching his half-century with his trademark ‘sword wing,’ there was a little feud afterward. It is worth noting that Jadeja and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar have not been ‘friendly’ after Manjrekar referred to Jadeja as a ‘bits and pieces’ player and said that he wasn’t really a fan. Jadeja reacted by tweeting “Still, I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I’m still playing. Learn to respect people who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhea.”
After celebrating his half-century, Jadeja pointed to the commentary box as if by asking “What?” He also recently became the first Indian batting at number 8 to score a World Cup fifty.
Despite the Indian Cricket Team bowing out of the ICC Cricket World Cup, there are other upcoming cricket events that India is also preparing for. To find out more about the different cricket leagues, visit Betwala's page.
