Bumrah will play his first home Test against the South African Cricket Team
Fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah is one of the most-talked-about cricketers following his new record during the Test match in Jamaica. He became the third Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in red-ball cricket. Bumrah received a lot of praise from fans. Team captain Virat Kohli also called him a ‘complete bowler’ because of his impressive deliveries.
Bumrah will be rested for the T20I series against the South African cricket team in Dharamshala. He is set to play in the Test series following the T20Is. The series will be his first at home.
The fast bowler spoke about how his confidence grew in Test cricket. ‘I have always had the outswingers, I have not used it much’, he said during an event in Mumbai.
‘But playing in England gave me a lot of confidence with the Dukes ball swinging for a long period of time. I got more and more confident as I played more and more Test cricket’, Bumrah added.
Throughout his career, he participated in Test series overseas. He played four in Australia, three in South Africa and England. The latest two was in the West Indies. In the Test series he played in each country, he collected five-wicket hauls.
Bumrah expressed how grateful he is for playing at this level. Despite the small frustrations, he’ll always be happy with the opportunities coming for him.
