Joe Denly gets ruled out of the England vs Ireland match due to back spasms he had incurred during the training.
On the eve of the opening match between England and Ireland, English batsman Joe Denly had suffered some back spasms during the training, causing him to be ruled out of the entire series. With that, his spot on the first match had been played by Sam Billings who has a record of 67 on ODIs.
As Denly would miss out the remaining two matches in Southampton, Liam Livingstone will take his place on the game. Livingstone is one of the three reserve players of the squad. So far, he has not yet been able to play an ODI for England but he has already been featured in T20Is against South Africa.
Denly is a late addition to the team as he had been dropped from the two-Test matches which had been played against the West Indies. He had been dropped after he garnered scores of 18 and 29 with a Test average that had dipped lower than 30 after 15 games.
So far, the odds of the upcoming ODI match between the two teams are -2500 for England and +782 for Ireland. To know more about the odds of this game, visit Betwala.
