Joe Root, the captain of the English cricket team, took 4 wickets and brought England closer to victory for the fourth day of the third Test against South Africa. 

South Africa and England are in Port Elizabeth for a Test series. Currently, they are on the fourth day of the third Test match. England has set the target to 499 and South Africa is on a trail by 188 runs. 

Joe Root’s incredible skills left the other team at 102-6 following on in their second innings. The South Africa cricket team is 188 short. 

Overall, England took 10-103 throughout the day with an incredible bowling performance. It started with claiming the last four wickets of South Africa in the first 28 deliveries during the first innings. 

Stuart Broad of the English cricket team snatched 3 wickets. The hosts played some unfortunate strokes which brought only one to their overnight score of 208-6. 

After a three-hour delay caused by the rain, South Africa still showed resistance despite the minor changes in the scoreboard. At least, South Africa’s captain, Faf du Plessis survived 123 balls for his score of 36. 

Today, they are set to continue the match. However, the rain forecast is threatening to be an obstacle for the series.
