Archer will not join in the upcoming tour of England and the IPL due to a right elbow injury.
Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka and the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to an elbow injury. Archer sustained a right elbow injury during their first Test against South Africa at SuperSport Park in Centurion. South Africa won by scoring a total of 189 runs.
‘He will now commence an injury rehabilitation programme with the ECB medical team with a view to be ready for the international summer campaign starting in June against West Indies in a three-match Test series’, a statement released by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) last Thursday.
The Rajasthan Royals also released a statement through their Twitter account stating that they will also cooperate with ECB to help Archer have a secure and fast recovery.
‘He's obviously a world-class player and (it'll be) very disappointing for him and obviously us at Rajasthan. But we wish him a speedy recovery and no doubt he'll be back fitter, stronger and better’, Tom Curran said, an English all-rounder who also plays for the Rajasthan Royals.
Due to his injury, he also missed out of the remaining ODI Tests of England against South Africa. As of now, England (-178.57) is on the lead against South Africa (+150). To keep you updated, check out the latest cricket odds at Betwala’s page.
