English player Chris Jordan has suffered an arm injury which has caused him to miss the ODI series of their team against Ireland.
Chris Jordan was not considered in the 24-man training squad of England along with two other injured players. The said squad is in preparation of the three ODI games of England against Ireland which is scheduled on July 30 to August 4.
The other two players who had been left out of the squad was Pat Brown who suffers from a back injury and Dawid Malan who is still recovering from a calf injury. Meanwhile, Jordan had recently shared a picture of him with a sling on Instagram. His caption read, ‘Had Surgery for the first time couple of days ago and was definitely a different experience for me but I really want to thank all the NHS staff at Royal National Orthopedic Hospital for all their care and support they really made it as smooth as possible. Now onto my recovery hope to be back soon 🙏🏾🏏’.
Meanwhile, the team has seen the return of players Sam Billings and David Willey. Other players who will return to the squad include Liam Dawson, Liam Livingstone, James Vince, Ben Duckett, and Reece Topley.
By July 16, the group will undergo a closed training session at the Ageas Bowl. They will then play two intra-squad warm-up matches on July 21 and 24. Based on their performances, the final squad will be named thereafter.
