Former cricketer Zaheer Khan praises Bumrah for his awkward bowling
India cricket team’s former speedster Zaheer Khan said that Bumrah’s awkward bowling technique is an advantage for him. The former cricketer said that Bumrah has exceptional talent in bowling.
‘He (Bumrah) is a special talent, he has got that awkward action which works as an advantage for him over the batsmen. He is keen to learn and drive to excel. He has been working on his fitness, adding new things to his bowling. He has evolved as a bowler in a short time, that have been the keys to success’.
‘It is about how you take things into stride and what kind of approach you have. I think Bumrah has shown all the attitude of achieving that success’, added the pacer.
Khan also gave Proteas pacer Kagiso Rabada advice for the upcoming Test match in Visakhapatnam. He said that the 24-year-old pacer should learn to adapt to the nature and proper delivery of reverse swinging.
‘There are so many good bowlers and Rabada has been right up there and you have seen that in such a short time. He has made such a massive impact on Test cricket and the numbers are a reflection of that fact’.
India and South Africa are scheduled to play three Tests on October 2. The accumulated scores from the Test matches are included in the World Test Championship.
