Younis Khan stated that Virat Kohli is an inspiration to Pakistanis
Former Pakistani batsman Younis Khan says that current India captain Virat Kohli is an inspiration to Pakistanis.
“Virat Kohli is also loved by Pakistanis. Today, many Pakistan players want to play like Kohli and be fit like him and have his body language,” said Khan in a talk show.
Khan added that he believes Kohli is an important factor to India’s success in the ICC Cricket World Cup. He continued that this showed in the decreased number of audience who attended Indian cricket matches when Kohli did not play.
“Even in the Asia Cup where he did not play, the stadiums weren’t jam packed. He is a big factor for India (in) the World Cup,” Khan said.
India will play against arch-rival Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford, Manchester.
