Kohli reached 20,000 international runs during West Indies game
India captain Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to reach 20,000 international runs during their 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup match against West Indies.
Kohli reached the milestone in his 417th innings with a single off West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder. He beats former India batsman Sachin Tendulkar and West Indies batsman Brian Lara who both needed to reach 453 international innings before they achieved the milestone.
India also won their match against West Indies by 125 runs with Kohli carrying a score of 72. The Men in Blue will have their next match against England on Sunday at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
