The Indian spinner addressed the problems of using plastic bags in their country
A video of Indian Cricket Team spinner Kuldeep Yadav surfaced online. In the video, he was asking people to avoid using plastic bags. He also spoke about the problem with Indians’ attitude towards environmental issues.
‘Try to avoid plastic, you know. Whenever I travel abroad, playing the games away, I see the basic difference between them and our country is people follow basic principles there and avoid using plastics. If people are listening…which I am sure most of them are not because no likes to listen to in India, but my major objective is to make them understand that it is a critical time for us and everyone’, Kuldeep said.
‘If you can be a bit serious, then I am sure there will be a great change. Other countries do not have the population that we have but their attitude is what makes the difference. Bring some changes in your attitude because I’m sure no one cares in India’, he added.
Aside from Kuldeep, there are other team members of the Men in Blue who use their social media accounts for advocacy. Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma were sharing videos of teaching people to stop littering.
Currently, Kuldeep Yadav is a part of the Test squad for the home series against South Africa. However, he was excluded for the T20I series which concluded last month.
India is slated to compete against the Proteas on October 19 for the third and final Test match. The Men in Blue (-1000) has the favourable odds to win against the Proteas (+680). Check out the latest cricket odds on Betwala.
