The uncapped fast bowler, Kyle Jamieson was called to join the Test squad of New Zealand for the upcoming two-match series against India.
Last February 11, the ODI series between India and New Zealand wrapped up as the hosts whitewashed the visitors. The Kiwi team won over the Men in Blue by 5 wickets on the final ODI match, finishing with a series overall of 3-0.
Kylie Jamieson was included in the 13-man squad for the upcoming India Tests due to his impressive performance in domestic cricket and the recently concluded ODIs.
On top of that, Trent Boult will make a comeback after sustaining a right-hand injury during the Boxing Day Test in Australia. His return is set to strengthen the Black Caps’ pace attack, along with Tim Southee and Neil Wagner.
Now, the New Zealand squad is composed of captain, Kane Williamson and teammates, Tom Latham, Tom Blundell, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, BJ Watling, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner, Trent Boult, Ajaz Patel, Kyle Jamieson and Daryl Mitchell.
The Test series between the Black Caps and Men in Blue will begin on February 21 at the Basin Reserve in Wellington New Zealand.
