Langer said they would not get complacent on their match with Proteas
Australia coach Justin Langer said it was important to maintain their team’s winning momentum ahead of their upcoming match against South Africa. He continued that Australia would not consider their game against the Proteas to be an easy win.
“It’s about maintaining the momentum of winning. That’s really important for us,” said Langer in an interview at Old Trafford on Thursday. “For this game, some people said it was a dead rubber. There’s nothing dead about it.”
“There’s no way we’ll ever get complacent. Not with what’s happened in the last 12 months. We’re playing good cricket, so we want to continue the momentum of winning going forward.”
Australia will play against South Africa today at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. They currently have +180 odds to win the entire ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
