Bangladesh player Mashrafe Mortaza has already tested negative for COVID-19 three weeks after he was diagnosed.
Several cricket players from different teams had tested positive for COVID-19 as the sport eyes its resumption. Among those who had tested positive was former team captain Mashrafe Mortaza who has now tested negative for the virus.
Mortaza shared his recovery on his Twitter account by saying, ‘Hope everybody is well. Alhamdulillah. By the grace of God and with the blessings of all of you, the result of my coronavirus test is negative. Gratitude to all those who have been by my side all this time, who have prayed for me thanks a lot’.
Meanwhile, his Facebook post read, ‘I heard the results of the test this evening, which is negative. I got treatment at home. I am thankful to everyone who prayed for me, was beside us and showed concern during this time. But my wife is still COVID-19 positive after two weeks of being diagnosed. She is doing well. Keep her in your prayers. To those who are affected, stay positive. Keep faith in Allah and abide by the rules. Together we will keep fighting the virus’.
Aside from Mortaza, other players who had recovered were Nafees Iqbal and Nazmul Islam. To know more about cricket, check out Betwala’s quick guide about the sport. Aside from that, you may also discover some amazing July promos from our partner Bitcasino!
