Pakistan Cricket Board has been busy in arranging the contracts of their players this week. After PCB’s announcements, T20I captain Babar Azam became the official ODI captain as well, making him the national team’s white-ball format captain. Aside from Azam, 17-year-old Naseem Shah also earned his contract for the next season of 2020-21.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Cricket Board reviewed contracts in a different way. This is after BCB said that they will review the contracts of their foreign coaches as they expect to lose some funds amid this COVID-19 crisis. Also, the board had been busy reviewing the corrupt practices in the 2019-2020 season of the BPL which eventually led to Shafiqullah Shafiq being banned for six years.

Meanwhile, players and cricket boards remain hopeful for the resumption of some cricket matches. With regards to Pakistan’s tour of England, the two cricket boards are yet to hold a conference to discuss each party’s safety condition demands. Indian player Rohit Sharma also remains to be positive about their upcoming match against Australia which is slated at the end of the year.
