Australian player Megan Schutt shares how she is not that pleased with her performance even as they had dominated the series against New Zealand.
As Australia had secured victories against New Zealand, they were yet to sweep all the games in the said series. Having 20 consecutive ODI wins to their name, the team remains one victory away from reaching the world record of the Ricky Ponting-led team who bagged 21 consecutive ODI victories. Despite the team’s great performance, Australian player Megan Schutt remains a little displeased with her personal performance.
Having picked three wickets in two ODI games, Schutt calls her performance a bit average. She explained, ‘I haven't been overly pleased with how I've bowled. Think I've had some good overs in there but have had some poor ones as well. For me the ODIs over the last couple of days’.
‘I've felt like I've struggled a bit with my length. I need to get a bit fuller, but think that's the transition from playing so much T20 cricket for a long period and then we are converting back with the WBBL. Been a little bit disappointed but will hopefully find some consistency’, she added.
Sharing her thoughts about having their team reach a world record, she says, ‘Obviously deep down it would be cool to reach the record but the way we explain it is. it's one game at a time and every game we go out we are trying to win. Losing sucks and we are pretty hard on ourselves when we do. It makes you dive deep and pick little things out but think we do that even when we are successful. That's the best part; winning is great but we know we can still get better’.
So far, the odds for their match are -1000 for Australia and +547 for New Zealand. To see the odds for other upcoming matches, check out Betwala.
